Fabre Engineering & Surveying
Fabre Engineering & Surveying provided surveying and civil engineering services for the Phase 2 expansion of the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Scottsmoor, Florida.
The $30 million project will add approximately 32,200 gravesites on 30 acres. Fabre Engineering & Surveying completed a topographic survey that located trees, existing utilities and all improvements. A radio study was conducted to confirm that the existing GPS Base Station would adequately cover this expansion Phase of the 319 acre cemetery. Fabre Engineering & Surveying modeled the expansion using HydroCAD and designed the proposed Stormwater Lake No. 5. The model incorporated the run-off from Phase I and the two existing stormwater lakes that will interconnect to Lake No. 5. Fabre Engineering & Surveying also reviewed the existing GPS system and equipment and wrote the GPS and GIS specifications that will incorporate Phase 2 into the GIS system. Fabre Engineering & Surveying will also provide construction monitoring services during construction in 2020 – 2021. Estimated Construction Cost: $30 million.
