Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery

Fabre Engineering & Surveying provided surveying and civil engineering services for the Phase 4 Expansion of the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery which will provide 30,600 new grave sites.

Fabre Engineering & Surveying provided a boundary survey for the entire 640 acre cemetery and coordinated and set horizontal and vertical controls for the aerial lidar and photogrammetry survey of the entire cemetery.  Fabre Engineering & Surveying conducted a ground topographic survey of the Phase 4, 50 acres which included the existing administration and maintenance buildings and areas.  Using data provided by a hydrogeologist, Fabre Engineering & Surveying designed and developed construction plans and specifications for a test well and three 750 gallon per minute irrigation wells and associated water transmission piping.  Each well will consist of a 400 HP; submersible motor with 4,160 volt, 3 phase power and a pump setting 1,340 feet below ground in a 16-inch steel casing to a depth of 1,700 feet.

Fabre Engineering & Surveying also prepared specifications for a new cemetery GPS Base Station and for a new GIS system for the current, Phase 4 and all future phases of the cemetery.  Fabre Engineering & Surveying will also provide construction monitoring services during construction in 2020-2021.  Estimated Construction Cost:  $35 million.
