Century WWTP Expansion 0.675 MGD

Fabre Engineering & Surveying provided engineering and construction inspection services for the Town of Century’s expansion of its wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with a permitted capacity of 0.450 million gallons per day (MGD) to a capacity of 0.675 MGD. The plant upgrade utilizes the known reliable technology of an extended aeration with secondary sedimentation and chlorine disinfection to produce an effluent suitable for discharge to the Escambia River. The project consisted of a headworks static screen, flow equalization, diffused aeration, rectangular sedimentation units, chlorination, sulfar dioxide declorination, sludge drying beds and an effluent pumping station. Estimated Construction Cost – $1,150,687.00
